The country’s authorities are interested in launching an AI assistant called GigaChat, a product by Sber. This was stated by the minister for human resources development, information technology, electronics, and communications of the Government of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh Lokesh Nara.
The minister asked Sberbank to deploy the GigaChat language model services in the banking sector, as well as in public administration and retail.
In addition, Lokesh Nara urged Sberbank to provide technical support to strengthen the security of UPI – India’s real-time instant digital payments system. The minister noted that it is necessary to implement advanced voice recognition and biometrics systems to protect against fraud and to offer structured credit lines to exporters of the state’s pharmaceutical and agricultural products.
Andhra Pradesh is one of India’s most economically fast-growing regions. Approximately 23,2% of the state’s gross value added comes from the industrial sector, about 41,5% from services, and 35,3% from agriculture and related industries.
